CLCA In The Nation's Capital

Members of the California Landscape Contractors Association made two trips to Washington, D.C. in March to lobby for comprehensive immigration reform. Members of Congress were very interested to hear the "real world" views of their constituents.

Attendees called on Congress to approve legislation that would:

Members of CLCA's delegations attended informational briefings. CLCA Director of Legislation Bob Wade, CLP, CLIA; Cathy Gurney; and Astrid Schmidt, lobbyist with Greenberg Traurig in Washington, D.C.
 
They heard from CLCA's legislative advocate in in the capital and the co-chair of the Essential Worker Immigration Coalition, Laura Foote Reiff of Greenberg Traurig.
